Step Ahead Consulting supports you in your deliberation and in defining and planning your next challenge, whether it is starting a new job, changing jobs, leaving a position or even a new professional beginning in France or abroad.
The name ‘Step Ahead’ embodies the momentum and energy that will lead you to move forward by enabling reflection, decision and action.
From one challenge to the next…
Step Ahead Consulting is of course myself, its founder Laurent Chouraqui, but it is also the product of my many encounters and the resulting family of professionals that I work with.
We aim to offer our clients a range of services that are exhaustive, innovative and, of course, effective.
My Origins – Laurent Chouraqui
Trained as a lawyer but also an entrepreneur at heart, I dedicated the first part of my career to the commercial activities of the companies that I co-founded.
Be it with Net Partners (a web agency), NPTV (an agency for the development of interactive services for digital television) or Mob-It (app development), I spent over thirteen years working with major media and ICT accounts.
It was once that I had myself experienced coaching in management that I understood the rewards of this unique approach.
After training in Active Learning Coaching at HEC, I created my first support structure in 2009, Human Inside, offering coaching services for middle management.
In 2012, I decided to develop my coaching career and cater to a particular demand by creating Step Ahead Consulting: the provision of support to men and women from the media industry by someone with experience of that field.
This activity completed that of media recruitment specialist developed by Jerôme at Talent Sphere.
I established skills assessment, outplacement and career coaching tools with a particular focus on media professionals, sharing my experience of over thirteen years as an entrepreneur and media professional.
I have since then worked with numerous clients from renowned media companies but also from other sectors, accompanying them in a variety of professional transition projects.
I have also extended my field of work to companies and their change management, using specific tools such as Forum Ouvert, World Café or Co-développement.
I love teaching and sharing knowledge, and I do so at ISG (Moda Domani), on topics such as entrepreneurship and project development, networking, pitches and interviews.
Finally, my socio-cultural and professional environment has always included Anglo-Saxon and Hispanic influences. I have distant Spanish origins and I love the vibrancy of Anglo-American culture.
A sports enthusiast, I adopt Tim Gallwey’s view (‘The inner game of tennis’ & ‘The inner game of golf): “Coaching is unlocking a person’s potential to maximize their own performance.” – and to dare achieve their full potential.
Coaching Credentials
In addition to my training in Active Learning Coaching at HEC, I have trained in career development support and the Human Element with Isabelle Méténier, and in transactional analysis with Isabelle Méténier and Rosemary Napper, Rosemary Napper is also currently my supervisor. I have also trained in NLP in the United States with Global NLP.
I am a member of the International Coaching Federation (ICF) and of the French Institute of Transactional Analysis (IFAT)
